• Eligibility Criteria:

  Educational Qualification

  • Constable (UB): Higher Secondary (HS) or Class XII passed from Government recognized Board or Council
  • Constable (AB): HSLC or Class X passed from Government recognized Board or Council
  • Applicants having educational qualification of Higher Secondary and above may apply for both Armed Branch and Unarmed Branch with clear preference indication.

  Essential Requirements

  • Applicant must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam
  • Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam
  • Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently
  • Selected applicants will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of Final Select List (SC, ST, OBC/MOBC exempted)

  Experience

  • For Home Guards/VDP/Civil Defence Volunteers: Minimum 1 year service certificate required for reservation quota benefit; Minimum 3 years service for age relaxation
  • For SPOs: Appointment Certificate required for reservation and age relaxation benefits
  • For FMMOs: Certificate issued by Special Branch, HQrs. of Assam Police, Kahilipara, Guwahati required
• Application Fees:
  • Application Fee: NIL - There will be no Application Fee for this recruitment
• Pay Scale:
  • Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 - 70,000/- per month
  • Grade Pay: Rs. 5,600/-
  • Other Benefits: Allowances as admissible under the Rules
  • Pension Benefits: Selected applicants shall be entitled to pension benefits as per the pension scheme existing at the time of appointment
