EARTH ORIGIN – A Must Read For GK

4.6 billion years back, you'd get a very different world than the one we know and love now. The Earth probably began as a mass of hot, molten material that was constantly being attacked with meteorites. As time went on, the substance of Earth piled out into layers: the inner and outer core, mantle, and crust.

Even as things calmed down over the first billion or so years, Earth would be quite unrecognizable to us. The air on young Earth had very little oxygen and has been full of water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia, hydrogen, and other chemicals that were being pushed into the atmosphere by the numerous volcanic eruptions. Still, more time goes by, and we see Earth cooling down a little, with a lot of the water vapour in the air getting our oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams.

We have However, these life forms weren't what you're acquainted with as ‘life' now, and even these simple organisms developed from simpler ones which might have existed as long as 3.9 billion years back. Scientists have determined that there are four major phases to how living things came from non-living things on Earth.

LIFE GOES ON

Obviously, a lot has Happened after earth origin and because of these crude beginnings of life! Fortunately, the history of life on Earth has been divided into major sections called aeons, where there are three. These are, from the earliest to the latest, the Archean, Proterozoic, and Phanerozoic.

The Archean Eon spans the time from the beginning of Earth until about 2.5 billion years ago, which is when we see that the first fossils of all Eukaryotes cells. Photosynthetic prokaryotic organisms probably developed during this earth origin period of time, which helped produce lots of oxygen in the air, an integral participant in existence on Earth origin.

CURRENT SITUATION Of EARTH - POLLUTION

As now the earth is getting more warmed up because of global warming and pollution we do daily. Causes of pollution are due to ourselves only in majority cases. We should act together. Why? Look at all the pollution listed here –

  • Air Pollution.

  • Water Pollution.

  • Soil Pollution.

  • Visual Pollution.

  • Noise Pollution.

  • Radioactive Pollution.

  • Light Pollution.

  • Thermal Pollution.

All these actions caused us heavily and because of these many organisations are into it like Earth hour organisation, Earth Day etc are into it to reduce the effects of pollution and increase the overall health of the mother earth.
