The Young Professional–I will be responsible for providing technical and operational support in research, field, and project-based activities under Assam Agricultural University. The role involves systematic data collection, conducting field surveys, assisting in sample collection and analysis, and preparing technical reports, progress notes, and documentation related to ongoing research projects. The selected candidate will work closely with senior scientists and project coordinators, supporting day-to-day research operations, project implementation, and compliance with prescribed guidelines.

In addition, the Young Professional–I will be involved in maintaining project records and databases, assisting in training programmes, demonstrations, and extension activities, and coordinating field-level activities with stakeholders as required. The candidate may also be assigned additional responsibilities by the project authority from time to time, which must be carried out efficiently, accurately, and within stipulated timelines.

• Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have a B.Sc degree from a recognized university.

  • Relevant field experience or research exposure in agriculture or allied sciences will be preferred.

  • Candidates should possess good communication skills.

  • Basic computer knowledge is desirable for documentation and reporting work.
