The Field Assistant will support agricultural research and field experiments related to rice cultivation at ICAR–CRRI. The role involves assisting scientists and technical staff during field trials, including activities such as land preparation, sowing, transplanting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest operations. The Field Assistant will also be responsible for systematic data collection, sample handling, and maintaining accurate field records in accordance with approved research protocols.
In addition, the Field Assistant will assist in the implementation of recommended crop management practices, operate and maintain basic agricultural tools and equipment, and support irrigation, fertilizer application, and pest management activities as required. The position further requires carrying out other field- and project-related duties as assigned by the Project Authorities from time to time, ensuring timely, efficient, and reliable support for ongoing research activities at ICAR–CRRI.
