    1. Educational Qualification for Teaching Posts

     

    Principal

    • Must have at least 3 years of regular service in KVS in the relevant grade.

    • Must hold a Master’s Degree as per NCTE norms.

     

    Vice-Principal

    • Must be a PRT/TGT with required experience.

    • Must have completed Master’s Degree as per NCTE norms.

    • Should have minimum 5 years of regular service in KVS.

    • Must have secured 65% marks in PGT-level studies.

     

    PGT Posts Eligibility

    PGT (Hindi)

    • Four-year Integrated Degree from NCTE-recognized Institute with 50% marks including B.Ed., OR

    • Master’s Degree (Hindi) with 50% marks + B.Ed, OR

    • Three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed with 50% marks.

     

    PGT (English)

    • Must be TGT with 3 years of regular service.

    • Four-year Integrated Degree with 50% marks including B.Ed., OR

    • Master’s Degree in English with 50% marks + B.Ed., OR

    • Three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed with 50% marks.

     

    PGT (Mathematics)

    • TGTs with 3 years of regular service.

    PGT (Geography)

    • TGTs with 3 years of regular service.

    • Four-year Integrated Degree in Geography with 50% marks including B.Ed., OR

    • Master’s Degree in Geography with 50% marks + Graduation-level Geography + B.Ed., OR

    • Three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed with 50% marks.

     

    TGT Posts Eligibility

    TGT (Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies)

    From PRTs with at least 5 years of regular service.

    Common Requirements:

    (A)

    • Four-year Integrated Degree with 50% marks including B.Ed., OR

    • Bachelor/Honours Degree with 50% in the relevant subject + B.Ed., OR

    • Three-year integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed with 50% marks, OR

    • 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50% marks, OR

    • Post-Graduation with 55% marks + Graduation-level study in required subjects.

    (B)

    • Must be CTET Paper-II qualified (conducted by CBSE).

    (C)

    • Must have competency to teach in English and Hindi.

    Additional Requirement for Special Education B.Ed. Holders

    • Must undergo a 6-month NCTE-recognized Special Programme in Elementary Education after appointment.

     

    Educational Qualification for Non-Teaching Posts

     

    Head Master

    • Must be a Primary Teacher with minimum 5 years of regular service.

    • Must have CTET Paper-I qualification.

     

    Finance Officer

    • 1-year regular service as Section Officer +
      Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce
      OR

    • 4 years of service as Assistant Section Officer + Bachelor’s in Commerce/Economics/ICWA (Inter)/IDMA (Inter)/MBA (Finance).

     

    Section Officer

    • 3 years regular service in ASO/Steno Grade-II/UDC (Senior Scale).

     

    Assistant Section Officer

    • 3 years regular service in KVS.

     

    Senior Secretariat Assistant

    • 3 years regular service in KVS.

     

    Junior Secretariat Assistant

    • Sub-staff with 3 years of regular service in KVS.

     

    Desirable Experience

    • For Head Master – CTET Paper-I.

    • For TGTs – CTET Paper-II.

    • 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

    • Must pass qualifying exams in one or two attempts without breaks.

     

    Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

    How to Apply Online for KVS LDE/LDCE 2025

    Selection Process

    The Limited Departmental Examination (LDE)/Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) will be conducted at centres tentatively located in the cities of the Regional Offices of KVS.

    • Applicants must possess the required degree/professional qualification at the time of examination.

    • The examination consists of two parts:

     

    Tier-I: Subject Knowledge Examination

    • Mode: Combination of Pen-Paper and OMR-based

    • Marks: 40

    • Duration: 2½ hours

     

    Tier-II: Personal Interview/Screening Test

    • Marks: 60

     

    Minimum Qualifying Marks
    • GEN/OBC/EWS: 35% (Tier-I and Interview)

    • SC/ST & PwBD: 33% (Tier-I and Interview)

     

    For Unreserved category: 35% for SC/ST and PwBD applicants.

    The marks secured in the written examination (Tier-I) will form the basis of seniority-cum-qualification. Candidates will be called for the interview based on their qualifying marks in Tier-I.

     

    Interview Shortlisting Ratio

    Candidates will be shortlisted for the Tier-II interview in the ratio of 1:4 or 1:2, depending on availability.

     

    Post-wise Selection Criteria

    • Finance Officer & Section Officer: Selection based on seniority-cum-qualifying marks obtained in Tier-II as per vacancy category.

    • Assistant & Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Selection based on marks scored in Tier-I.

    • CTET Qualification:

      • Mandatory for TGT posts

      • CTET Paper I mandatory for Head Master posts

    Only candidates possessing the essential qualifications and required service shall be eligible under LDE/LDCE.

     

    Final Merit List

    • For Finance Officer and Section Officer: Merit list will be based on written exam + Personal Interview/Screening Test (total 100 marks).

    • No interview will be conducted for Finance Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Senior Secretariat Assistant, and Junior Secretariat Assistant posts.

     

    General Information / Instructions

    • KVS will conduct LDE/LDCE for filling Teaching and Non-Teaching posts from eligible employees of KVS.

    • Candidates must possess the essential qualification/service criteria as prescribed.

    • Applicants may apply for only one post, even if eligible for multiple posts.

    • Applicants must fill the online application form carefully. Incorrect or false information may lead to disqualification.

    • Once submitted, no changes in the application will be permitted.

    • Examination centres will be located in KVS Regional Office cities.

    • Controlling Officers must verify the accuracy of details submitted in the application form.

    • APAR grading must be verified by the Controlling Officer using available APAR records.

    • Failure to submit the Service Verification Certificate will result in rejection of the application for evaluation.

    • Upon selection, all credentials submitted by the applicant will be verified.

    • Reservation for PwBD candidates will be as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

    • PwBD candidates with 40% or more disability may bring their own scribe. The scribe must have a lower academic qualification than the candidate.

    • PwBD candidates will receive 20 additional minutes per hour of exam duration or a minimum of one extra hour for exams lasting three hours.

    • Candidates already studying in a post through LDE cannot apply again under LDE/LDCE.

    • After final submission, the applicable fees (if any) and documents will be recorded along with signatures of the applicant and certifying officer.

    • Candidates undergoing CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) training are also eligible.

    • The merit list will be published on the official KVS website, and applicants' names will also be available on their respective Regional Office websites.

    • Any misuse of position or abuse of authority will lead to disciplinary action by KVS.
