Naval Dockyard Apprentices Recruitment 2025 – Apply for 320 post

Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam has released a recruitment notification for 320 Apprentice posts across various trades. Candidates who have passed 10th class and possess ITI trade certification from NCVT/SCVT are eligible to apply. The apprenticeship training will be conducted under the Apprentices Act, providing hands-on practical training in Indian Navy dockyard workshops.

Selected candidates will receive stipend as per government apprenticeship norms and will undergo training in designated technical trades. The selection process includes written examination, document verification, and medical fitness. No application fee is required for submitting the online form. • Eligibility Criteria:
  • Candidates must have passed 10th (SSC/Matric) with at least 50% marks.
  • Applicants must hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT with a minimum of 65% marks.
  • Minimum age is 14 years for non-hazardous trades and 18 years for hazardous trades.
  • There is no upper age limit as per apprenticeship rules and guidelines.
  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Applicants should be medically fit as per standards mentioned in the Apprentices Act.
  • Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in the same trade are not eligible to apply.

  • The application involves filling an online form; once submitted, candidates need to print the form, fill hall-ticket copies, attach required documents, and send via post with a ₹55 postal stamp.
• Pay Scale:
  • For this 2025 apprenticeship drive, the official 2025 notification states: “Details concerning stipend, pay scale, grade pay and allowances are currently pending release.”
  • Historically, for similar apprenticeship programmes (at other yard/dockyards), stipend/pay has been “as per Apprentices Act”. For example, one recent listing (for a different dockyard) mentions a pay range from ~ ₹3,400–₹9,600 (depending on trade) during training. 
  • Therefore, expect stipend or training-allowance based on standard government apprenticeship norms; final amount will be as per official docking yard notification once released.
