The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has officially released the notification for 41,424 Home Guard Volunteer posts. This is one of the largest recruitment drives by the UP Police department, opening opportunities for thousands of candidates across the state.

Online applications for UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025 are open from 18 November 2025 to 17 December 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website uppbpb.gov.in.

A UP Home Guard Volunteer performs the following duties:

Assisting police in maintaining law and order.
Supporting disaster management operations.
Helping in traffic management.
Providing assistance during festivals, elections, emergencies, and public events.
Supporting local administration whenever required.

Home Guards work on an honorarium basis with duty-based allowances.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 10 (High School) from a recognized board.
Nationality
- Candidate must be a citizen of India and a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Application Fees:
- General/OBC Candidates: ₹100/-
- SC/ST/Women/PwD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹50/- (see notification for details or exemptions)
- Payment Mode: Online payment through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
Pay Scale:
The salary structure of UP Home Guard volunteers includes:
- Monthly Honorarium: As per state Home Guard guidelines
- Daily Duty Allowance: Applicable as per UP Government norms
- Pay Matrix Level: Equivalent to Pay Level–1 (Grade Pay ₹1800) when deployed on government duty
The final salary varies depending on the number of days a Home Guard is assigned duty in a month.
