UPSSSC PET 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducts the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) to recruit for various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in the UP government.

The PET exam is the first stage of selection for posts like:

Junior Assistant, Lekhpal, Forest Guard, Village development Officer (VDO), Group C positions Clerks, and Other group B and C posts.

Process of the Exam

There will be two stages. Stage 1: PET (Preliminary Eligibility Test)  Stage 2: Mains Exam / Skill Test / Physical Test (as per post).

Mode of Exam

Mode of exam will be Online (CBT) / OMR based, as decided by UPSSSC .  with the duration of 2 hours . total number of Questions -100

Marking: +1 for correct, negative marking of 0.25 for wrong answers.

• Eligibility Criteria:

  Eligibility criteria for the PET Exam is as follows : 

  • Education: Candidates must have passed Class 10 (High School) or above.

  • Age Limit: Minimum age is 18 years, and maximum is 40 years.

    • Age relaxation is provided as per UP government rules for reserved categories.

• Application Fees:

  Those Candidates who are interested in group 'B' and group 'C' posts, they will have to fill the application form before 17-06-2025. with that they also have to pay the examination fees, which is as follows: 

  • General / OBC: ₹185

  • SC / ST: ₹95

  • PWD: ₹25

  • Payment mode: Online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.

• Pay Scale:

  The pay scale depends on the post you are selected for, ranging from:

  • ₹21,700 to ₹69,100/month (Level 3 to Level 5 pay matrix as per 7th CPC)

  • Additional benefits include DA, HRA, and other allowances.
