The PSEB International Punjabi Language Olympiad 2025 exam dates are December 5-8 for Punjab-based students, and December 6-7 for students from other states and NRIs. Eligibility requires students to be enrolled in a school between Classes 3 and 12. The specific exam date depends on the student's class and location. 

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) conducts the International Punjabi Language Olympiad every year to promote the Punjabi language and encourage linguistic excellence among students. The Olympiad is open to students from India and abroad who wish to showcase their command over Punjabi grammar, literature, vocabulary, and comprehension.

The 2025 edition of the Olympiad will be held in offline mode at designated schools across Punjab and other participating regions.

Exam Dates 

• Mock test (all categories / online): 10–12 November 2025 (practice window; link open long window each day).

• Main online exam (Punjab State candidates):

  • Classes 3–5 (Category 1): 5 December 2025 (online; window 7:00 AM–7:00 PM).

  • Classes 4–8 (Category 2): 6 December 2025 (online; window 7:00 AM–7:00 PM).

  • Classes 9–12 (Category 3): 8 December 2025 (online; window 7:00 AM–7:00 PM).

• Other States / International (NRI/Foreign) students: 6–7 December 2025 (online window for all categories outside Punjab).

Note: PSEB runs the exam as an online time-window (exam link open for a long window each day) so candidates can login any time during the window and complete the allotted

duration.

Exam pattern & duration (official)

• Question type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

• Number of questions: 50 MCQs.

• Duration: 60 minutes.

• Structure: Typically ~30 questions from reading content and ~20 from level-appropriate syllabus.

Eligibility (official / clarifications)

• Class-wise eligibility: Students from Class 3 to Class 12 (grouped into three categories: 3–5, 6–8, 9–12).

• Age cutoffs (as specified in public guidance):

  • Classes 3–5: up to 12 years of age.

  • Classes 6–8: up to 15 years of age.

  • Classes 9–12: up to 19 years of age.

• Boards accepted: Students of PSEB, CBSE, ICSE and other recognized boards may participate.

• Geography: Open to students within Punjab, other Indian states, and international / NRI students (international/other-state students appear on the separate dates/window noted above).

IPLO 2025 is an online Punjabi language exam for Classes 3 –12 (age cutoffs: 12 / 15 / 19), with mock tests on 10–12 Nov 2025 and main online exam windows on 5, 6 and 8 Dec 2025 for Punjab candidates (and 6–7 Dec 2025 for other-state/international candidates.
