RGUHS has announced the MBBS Phase I (CBME) Theory Examination January 2026: Application Dates, Fees, and Guidelines

The Undergraduate Medical Phase I (CBME) Theory Examination under the CBME scheme is scheduled to begin on 16 January 2026. Students and institutions must follow the official timelines for online application submission, fee payment, and internal assessment entries. The detailed examination timetable is enclosed by the University.

Application Form and Fee Payment Schedule

A. Online Application Form Submission

B. Examination Fee Payment by Students

D. Submission of Scanned Application Forms

Colleges must email scanned copies of application forms to
[email protected] on or before:

  • 01.01.2026

Examination Fee Details

  • Examination Application Form Fee (per exam): Rs. 200/-

  • Marks Card Fee: Rs. 300/-

  • Examination Fee (per paper): Rs. 750/-

Note:

  1. Subjects with Section A and Section B will be treated as one paper, and only one paper fee is applicable.

  2. Examination fees are non-refundable.

    • In case of duplicate payments, refund may be claimed as per University notification No. RGU/Auth/Notification/174th(1)/161/2022-23 dated 31.12.2022.

Internal Assessment (IA) – Important Instructions

Colleges must enter IA marks in the IA portal and send a Freezed Report copy to the Registrar (Evaluation), RGUHS, Bangalore.

Submission Rules:

  • Submission of hard copy of the Freezed IA Marks to RGUHS is mandatory.

  • A copy must be kept safely by the Principal for future verification.

  • Delay in IA submission will lead to exclusion of marks from result processing as per RGUHS Circular dated 21-12-1998.

Important Instructions for Principals / Heads of Institutions

A. Attendance

  • Attendance must be calculated up to the last working day of the term.

  • No provision for condonation of attendance.

B. Examination Fee for Reserved, Management & Repeater Students

  • SC/ST, Category-I, and Management Quota students must pay full examination fees as per government and university orders.

  • All repeater candidates, including SC/ST/Category-I, must pay full fees as per Govt. letter No.SWL 229, BCA 80 dated 16.12.1982.

C. Application Verification

  • Application forms must be signed by both candidate and Principal.

  • Candidate photograph must be attested by the Principal.
    Facsimile signatures are not allowed.

D. Submission of Forms

Principals must:

  1. Verify eligibility of all candidates.

  2. Submit forms to the Registrar (Evaluation) via insured post or authorized person.

  3. Submit financial statements in triplicate with:

    • Candidate names

    • Register numbers

    • Subjects selected

    • Fee details

    • Online transaction ID / receipt copy

  4. Submit a separate list of students who did not fill the application form, along with unfilled forms.

E. Ineligible Candidates

Colleges must not collect examination fees from:

  • Students who failed in IA

  • Students with attendance shortage
    as per the University Ordinances.
