The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially opened the self-slot selection window for candidates appearing in the Junior Engineer (JE) and Sub-Inspector (SI) exams 2025. This new feature allows applicants to choose their preferred exam date, shift, and examination center according to their convenience.

Candidates can now access the self-slot selection link directly from the official SSC website — ssc.gov.in. The facility will remain open for a limited period, so candidates are advised to log in and make their selections as early as possible. Candidates must sign in to the SSC candidate dashboard and submit their choices within the specified deadlines. According to the notification, the slot selection for the Junior Engineer exam is available from November 10 to November 13, 2025, up to 11 pm. Meanwhile, candidates appearing for the SI in Delhi Police and CAPF Examination can select their slots from November 17 to November 21, 2025, also till 11 pm. 

Steps to Choose SSC Self-Slot for JE & SI Exams 2025:

1. Visit the official website – ssc.gov.in

2. Log in using your registration number and password

3. Go to the section titled “Self Slot Selection for JE/SI 2025”

4. Choose your preferred date, time, and exam center

5. Confirm your selection and save the changes

6. Download or print the confirmation slip for future reference

Important Points to Note:

• Slot selection will be available only for registered candidates.

• Once submitted, preferences cannot be changed later.

• In case of high demand for a particular center or date, allocation will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

• The final exam schedule and admit cards will be issued after the slot selection window closes.
