The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a massive recruitment drive for 25,487 Constable and Rifleman posts across various security forces. This is a golden opportunity for candidates preparing for government defence jobs. The online application process has started, and interested applicants can submit their forms through the official SSC website before the last date.

As per the SSC Recruitment 2025 notification, these vacancies are available in forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, and Assam Rifles. Candidates must have passed Class 10th or equivalent from a recognised board to be eligible. Additionally, applicants should meet the required physical standards and age criteria as mentioned in the notification.

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), followed by Medical Examination. Selected candidates will receive a salary as per the 7th Pay Commission, along with various allowances and benefits.

Application Process Starts from December 1

The SSC Recruitment application process has started from December 1 and can be completed till December 31 at 11:00 PM. The last date for fee payment is January 1 at 11:00 PM. The application form correction window will remain open from January 8 to January 10. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted between February and April 2026.

Age Limit: 18 to 23 Years

For applying to this recruitment, the candidate’s age must be between 18 and 23 years as on January 1, 2026. This means the applicant should be born between January 2, 2003 and January 1, 2008. Age relaxation will be provided to various categories as per government rules.

Category-Wise Female Vacancies

In the female category, there are 269 posts for SC, 222 for ST, 436 for OBC, 189 for EWS, and 904 posts for the Unreserved (UR) category.

This recruitment is for Constable (GD) and Rifleman (GD) posts in forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF, and Assam Rifles. Special reserved vacancies have also been allotted for candidates belonging to border districts and Naxal-affected districts.

Applications Will Be Accepted Only Through Online Mode

According to SSC, applications for SSC Recruitment will be accepted only through online mode. The examination will be conducted in Hindi, English, and 13 other regional languages. The number of vacancies may vary as per requirement. Out of the total posts, 23,467 vacancies are for males and 2,020 vacancies are for females.
