UGC-NET December 2025 Registration — Everything You Need to Know

UGC-NET December 2025 registration is now open online at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Apply by November 7, 2025, for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor eligibility. Check dates, application fee, required documents, and step-by-step application guide

Eligibility Criteria

You must hold a Postgraduate degree (Master’s) or equivalent from a recognized university.

  1. For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), the upper age limit is 30 years (relaxation applies for reserved categories)
  2. For Assistant Professor, no upper age limit is imposed 

UGC NET December 2025 Registration Details

  • Registration Start Date: October 7, 2025
  • Registration End Date: November 7, 2025 (11:50 PM)
  • Application Correction Window: November 10–12, 2025
  • Application Mode: Online only via ugcnet.nta.ac.in
  • Application Fee:

                         General/OBC: ₹1150

                          SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: ₹600

  • Required Documents: Recent passport-size photograph and signature in JPEG format
  • Purpose: Eligibility determination for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor appointment, and Ph.D. admission in 85 subjects
  • Exam Dates and Admit Card Release: Will be announced later on the official website
