Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CDS I Recruitment 2018

Educational Qualification for Combined Defence Services:

Indian Military Academy (IMA) – Degree of a recognized University or equivalent

Indian Naval Academy (INA) – Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution

Air force Academy (AFA) – Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 12 level) or Bachelor of Engineering

Officers Training Academy (OTA) – Degree from a recognized University or equivalent

Age Limit for CDS I Examination:

Indian Military Academy (IMA) – Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January, 2000 only are eligible

Indian Naval Academy (INA) – Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 2000 only are eligible.

Airforce Academy (AFA) – 20 to 24 years as on 1st January 2019 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 1999

Officers Training Academy (OTA) (SSC Course for men) – unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1994 and not later than 1st January 2000 only are eligible

Officers Training Academy (OTA) (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) – Unmarried women or issueless widows who has not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1994 and not later than 1st January 2000

Application fee for Union Public Service Commission Recruitment 2018:

All the applicants except SC/ ST/ Female candidates are required to pay Rs. 200/- (Two-hundred Rupees) as an application fee and others are exempted from the fee.

Selection Procedure for CDS 1 2018 Exam:

Selection of the candidate for CDS I Recruitment 2018 will be based on written exam followed by the interview i.e. the aspirants who qualify the written test will be called for SSB round (Service Selection Board) for Personal Interview.
