The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has officially released the admit card for the JNVST 2026 (Class 6 admission for session 2026-27). Below are the key details, how to download, exam pattern and what candidates must know.

What’s released

  • The admit card (hall ticket) for the Class 6-level Selection Test (JNVST 2026) is now available on the official website: navodaya.gov.in.
  • The exam for the Summer-Bound categories is scheduled for February 7, 2026
  • Only those who registered for the test and meet the eligibility criteria can download the admit card. 

How to download the Admit Card

Here is a step-by-step guide for candidates:

  1. Visit the official website: navodaya.gov.in 
  2. On the homepage, look for the link labeled: “The admit card for Class VI JNVST (Summer Bound) 2026 has been released” or similar.
  3. Click the link to proceed to the login page.
  4. Enter your registration/roll number and date of birth/password as required. 
  5. Once logged in, your admit card will appear. Download the PDF file.
  6. Print out the admit card in clear format. Carry it to the examination centre along with a valid photo ID.

Details to check on your Admit Card

Upon downloading, ensure the following information is correctly mentioned:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Roll/Registration number
  • Date of birth
  • Exam centre address
  • Exam date & time
  • Photograph and signature of candidate
  • Instructions for the exam day

If any discrepancy is found (for example incorrect name, centre address etc.), candidates should contact the NVS helpdesk immediately.

Exam Pattern & Important Instructions

Here’s a quick summary of the test pattern and key guidelines:

  • The JNVST Class 6 exam covers three major parts: Mental Ability, Arithmetic, and Language Skills. 
  • Duration, total marks etc as per latest notification:
    • Mental Ability: ~40 questions, 50 marks

    • Arithmetic: ~20 questions, 25 marks

    • Language: ~20 questions, 25 marks 

  • Medium: Hindi and English. 
  • On exam day:
  • Arrive at the centre at least 30 minutes before reporting time.
    • Bring the printed admit card and a valid photo ID.

    • Electronic devices (mobile phones, smartwatches) are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

    • Any mismatch or absence of admit card may result in disqualification.
