IIT Roorkee has released a recruitment notification for 1 Scientific Administrative Assistant (SAA) post under a research project in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The project focuses on developing and testing technologies related to autonomous UAVs and safe autonomous driving systems. The position is project-based and will initially be for a period of one year.

The selected candidate will support research and technical activities related to UAV hardware, sensors, flight controllers, embedded systems, computer vision, communication systems and autonomous navigation. The work may include setting up and testing UAV platforms, conducting experiments, collecting and analysing data, simulation, field testing and preparing technical reports and documentation.

Candidates with a relevant B.E./B.Tech. degree and experience in autonomous vehicles, drones, embedded systems, robotics or related technologies may be suitable for this position. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C or C++, Linux, computer vision, sensor integration and wireless communication can be useful. Experience with platforms and technologies such as Pixhawk, ArduPilot, MAVLink, NVIDIA Jetson, VIO or SLAM may also be preferred.

The selected candidate will receive the prescribed project salary along with HRA as per IIT Roorkee rules.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech. degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant work or project experience is required.
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, UAVs or drone systems will be preferred.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and flight controllers is desirable.
- Candidates with programming skills in Python, C or C++ may receive preference.
- Experience with computer vision, sensor integration, robotics and wireless communication is desirable.
- Knowledge of technologies such as Pixhawk/Cube, ArduPilot, MAVLink and NVIDIA Jetson will be an added advantage.
- Experience with GPS-denied navigation, VIO, SLAM or autonomous UAV development will also be useful.
- Candidates must fulfil the eligibility conditions before appearing for the interview.
