UPSC EPFO Exam 2025- Highlights

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is held responsible for conducting the UPSC EPFO Exam for the posts of Enforcement Officer (EO)/ Accounts Officer (AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC). The candidates will be selected through a 2-stage recruitment process of a Written Test and an Interview

UPSC EPFO 2025 Selection Process

The UPSC EPFO 2025 selection process comprises two main stages: a written examination (Recruitment Test), followed by an interview

Stage 1- Recruitment Test

• Mode: Offline
• Type of Questions: Objective-type test (Multiple Choice Questions).
• Duration: 2 hours
• Marks: 300 marks
• No. of Questions: 120, with each question of 2.5 marks.
• Negative Marking: A penalty of 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Language: The test is bilingual (Hindi and English), except for the General English section.

Stage 2- Interview/Personality Test

• Total Marks: 100 marks, which contribute 25% to the final selection.
• Qualifying Marks: Minimum qualifying marks are different category-wise: 50 for General/EWS, 45 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST/PH.
• Motive: To analyse the candidate's personality and suitability to the post.

UPSC EPFO 2025 Exam Pattern

The selection process under UPSC EPFO 2025 requires qualification through a pen & paper-based Recruitment Test (RT). The test will be two hours in duration, all the questions carry equal marks.

The Recruitment Test (RT) will be an Offline Exam (Pen & Paper Based) consisting of Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) followed by an Interview round:

Note-

1. The exam questions will be in both Hindi and English.
2. There will be objective-type questions with multiple-choice answers. The medium of the test will be both Hindi and English.
3. There is a negative marking of one-third of the marks assigned to each question.
4. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.
5. PwD candidates shall be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour in the RT and facility of a Scribe.

The Combined Recruitment Test(CRT) for EO/RO and APFC posts will be conducted across the following 78 centers and the candidates have to choose their prefered exam centres during their application filling process.
