Number Systems: Computation of the Whole Number, Relationship between numbers Decimal, and Fractions
Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Square roots, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Interest (Simple and Compound), Discount, Profit and Loss, Partnership Business, Time and distance, Mixture and Allegation, Time and work.
Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence & similarity of triangles, Circle, and its chords, angles subtended by chords of a circle, tangents, common tangents, two or more circles.
Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Complementary angles, Trigonometric ratios, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin2 + Cos2 =1 etc.
Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Circle, Right Prism, Regular Polygons, Right Circular Cone, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Right Circular Cylinder, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base
Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Bar- diagram, Frequency polygon, Pie-chart.
Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring countries especially concerning to History, Culture, Economic Scene, Geography, General policy and scientific research.
This paper assesses the writing skills of the applicants which are necessary for Government jobs. The Paper would comprise writing an Essay of 200- 250 words and Letter or Application of approximately 150- 200 words. The minimum qualifying score in SSC CHSL Tier-II exam would be 33 percent. The performance in Tier II would be incorporated in preparing the merit. The CHSSL Tier 2 paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. The paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus for Tier 3 Exam
- Data Entry Speed should be 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer.
- For the post of Data Entry Operator in the Office of Auditor General and Comptroller of India (C&AG):- Speed Test is not less than 15000 key depressions per hour for data entry work to be determined through speed test on Computer
