Under the AAI Eastern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026, selected candidates will work as apprentices at Regional Headquarters in Kolkata and various airports such as Bagdogra, Patna, Gaya, Ranchi, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda, Pakyong and others. The training lasts one year and follows the Apprentices Act, 1961. Apprentices will support daily operations, technical tasks and administrative work under experienced staff. This is pure training and does not guarantee a permanent job in AAI, but it gives valuable experience and a government stipend. A total of 140 seats are available – 35 for Graduate Apprentices, 35 for Diploma Apprentices and 70 for ITI Apprentices. Candidates must apply only through the official NATS or NAPS portals using the correct establishment ID of the airport they prefer.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must have domicile of West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim or Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- Must have passed the relevant Degree, Diploma or ITI course in or after 2024 (as on 30 June 2026).
- Age limit is not clearly fixed in the notification; candidates should check the official PDF for any age rules.
- Only those who meet the exact qualification for Graduate, Diploma or ITI category can apply.
Application Fees:
- No application fee is required.
- The entire process is free of cost on both NATS and NAPS portals.
- Candidates do not need to pay any amount at any stage of application.
Pay Scale:
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹15,000 per month
- Diploma Apprentice: ₹12,000 per month
- ITI Apprentice: ₹9,600 per month in the first year and ₹10,560 per month in the second year (for eligible National/State Trade Certificate holders)
- The stipend is paid as per AAI rules and the Apprentices Act during the one-year training period.
