The National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), a premier centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India, has released Advt. No. NRSC/RMT/1/2026 for the recruitment of 48 Temporary Research Personnel. The vacancies include Research Scientist, Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, Project Scientist-B, Project Scientist-I, and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) posts. The online application process will be conducted from 01 August 2026 (10:00 AM) to 21 August 2026 (05:00 PM) through the official NRSC careers portal. Eligible candidates possessing qualifications in Engineering, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geology, Computer Science, Agriculture, Atmospheric Science, and related disciplines can apply. Selection will be based on screening of applications followed by an interview, with no written examination. These posts are temporary and project-based, with postings mainly at Hyderabad, Shadnagar, Regional Remote Sensing Centres, or other ISRO locations across India.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Candidates must possess the required B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech, M.E./M.Tech or equivalent qualification as prescribed for the respective post.
- Minimum qualifying marks:
  - B.E./B.Tech – 65% or CGPA 6.84/10
  - M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech – 65% or CGPA 6.84/10
  - M.E./M.Tech – 60% or CGPA 6.5/10
  - B.Sc. – 60% or CGPA 6.5/10
- Degrees must be recognized by AICTE/UGC or Government-approved institutions.
- Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
- Open and Distance Learning (ODL) B.Tech/M.Tech degrees are not accepted.
- JRF applicants must possess a valid NET/GATE or equivalent national-level examination qualification.
- Age must satisfy the post-wise limits as on 21 August 2026.
Application Fees:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹250 per application
- Women Candidates: Fee refundable after appearing for interview
- SC Candidates: Fee refundable after appearing for interview
- ST Candidates: Fee refundable after appearing for interview
- PwBD Candidates: Fee refundable after appearing for interview
- Ex-Servicemen: Fee refundable after appearing for interview
- Fee must be paid online through the Bharatkosh Payment Gateway.
Pay Scale:
- Research Scientist: ₹56,100 + HRA + DA
- Project Associate-I: ₹31,000 + HRA
- Project Associate-II: ₹35,000 + HRA
- Project Scientist-I: ₹56,000 + HRA
- Project Scientist-B: ₹56,000 + HRA (5% increment every two years based on performance)
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 + HRA (Upgradable to ₹42,000 as SRF after successful review)
