 Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान रुड़की (Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee)  देश एवं एशिया का सबसे पुराना Engineering College है। इस Institute की Establishment 1847 में हुई। 1854 में इसका नाम Thomas College of Civil Engineering  तथा स्वतंत्रता के बाद 1949 में Roorkee University  कर दिया गया। Roorkee के अलावा इसका एक Premises सहारनपुर Paper technical university में भी है।

यह India का पहला ऐसा Institute है जहां Earthquake engineering के लिए अलग Department है, जिसे 1960 में start किया गया। यहाँ पर 1995 में start किया गया Water resource development training center भी India का अकेला Center है। 1986 में स्थापित Model shacktable facility भी सिर्फ यही है।

इस College को 1 January 2002 को Indian Institute of Technology(IIT)  का दर्जा प्राप्त हुआ। Present में यह देश का सातवां Indian Institute of Technology बन चुका है।

Kumaun University, Nainital

कुमाऊं विश्वविद्यालय (Kumaun University, Nainital) की Establishment  1973 में की गयी ,इसके Three campus Nainital, Almora and Bhimtal में  है। इस में Enriched 35 Colleges and institutes कुमाऊं के 6 Districts में फैले हुए है।

Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University

हेमवती नंदन बहुगुणा गढ़वाल केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय (Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University)  की Establishment श्रीनगर  में 1973 में हुई थी। April, 1989 में इसका नाम Changed कर Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna University  कर दिया गया था। Central university बनने से पहले इस university में कुल 3  Birla complex of Srinagar headquarters, Dr. Gopal Reddy's campus of Pauri and Ramitrath Badshahi Thaul Campus of Tehri थे। 15 जनवरी 2009 को Central university बनने के बाद Tehri based campus  को अलग कर दिया गया है।

Forest Research Institute

वन अनुसन्धान संस्थान देहरादून (एफ. आर. आई.) (Forest Research Institute) Dehradun में स्थित है, इसकी Establishment 1878 में British Imperial Forest School के रूप में Dietrich Brandis द्वारा हुई थी। । 1 9 06 में, इसे British royal wild service के तहत Imperial Forest Research Institute के रूप में Re-install किया गया था।1 99 1 में, इसे University grant commission द्वारा एक deemed University घोषित किया गया था|
