Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for RailTel Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 40 Graduate Engineer, Diploma Engineer Posts must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- For Graduate Engineer Apprentice, candidates should possess a full-time regular B.E./B.Tech Degree in the relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE-approved institution with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
- For Diploma Engineer Apprentice, candidates should possess a full-time regular Diploma in Engineering from an AICTE-approved institution with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
- Eligible engineering disciplines include Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and other related branches mentioned in the official notification.
- Candidates who obtained their qualification through distance learning or part-time mode are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already completed one year or more of work experience or apprenticeship after obtaining the required qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates who completed their graduation or diploma more than three years before the notification date are also not eligible.
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 27 Years (as on the notification date)
- Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per Government of India rules.
Application Fees:
As per the official notification:
- General (UR): No Application Fee
- OBC: No Application Fee
- EWS: No Application Fee
- SC/ST: No Application Fee
- PwBD: No Application Fee
- Female Candidates: No Application Fee
- Candidates can submit the online application free of cost through the NATS 2.0 portal.
Pay Scale:
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly stipend during the one-year apprenticeship training.
- Graduate Engineer Apprentice: ₹14,000 per month
- RailTel Contribution: ₹9,500 per month
- Government (DBT) Contribution: ₹4,500 per month
- Diploma Engineer Apprentice: ₹12,000 per month
- RailTel Contribution: ₹8,000 per month
- Government (DBT) Contribution: ₹4,000 per month
- No Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), or other government allowances will be paid during the apprenticeship.
- The apprenticeship duration will be one year.
