The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) to recruit eligible graduates for various Group B and Group C posts in different Ministries, Departments, Organizations and offices of the Government of India.
Through SSC CGL 2026, candidates can be selected for posts such as Assistant Section Officer, Inspector, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector, Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant and other government positions. The recruitment process includes Tier-I and Tier-II examinations followed by applicable skill or computer tests and document verification.
Candidates who successfully qualify the required stages of the selection process will be considered for appointment to the respective posts according to merit, post preference, vacancies and applicable government rules.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent institution.
For most SSC CGL posts, graduation in any discipline is required.
For certain posts such as Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade-II, candidates must fulfill the specific educational qualification prescribed in the official notification.
Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed age limit and other eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.
