The India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 for 23,757 BPM, ABPM & Dak Sevak Posts is a good opportunity for candidates who have passed Class 10th and want to work with India Post. The recruitment is being conducted for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak in different postal circles across India.

Selected candidates will work in Branch Post Offices and assist with postal and customer-related services. Their duties may include handling letters, parcels, mail delivery, maintaining basic records, assisting customers, and supporting various postal services. Candidates may also be required to use computers and other digital tools for daily office work. Knowledge of cycling and the local language of the concerned postal circle is also required.

There is no written examination or interview for GDS recruitment. Candidates are shortlisted through a system-generated merit list based mainly on their Class 10th marks. Shortlisted candidates are then called for document verification and other required formalities.

The TRCA for BPM posts ranges from ₹12,000 to ₹29,380, while ABPM and Dak Sevak posts offer ₹10,000 to ₹24,470. This recruitment is suitable for 10th-pass candidates looking for a postal-sector opportunity without a competitive written examination.
