• Eligibility Criteria:

  Candidates should check the following requirements before submitting the SSC CHSL application:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
  • For certain DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts: Candidates need to have passed 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
  • Age Limit: The general age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to eligible reserved categories as per Government rules.
  • Candidates must possess the required educational qualification by the prescribed closing date of the application.
  • Candidates should read the official notification carefully because educational requirements can differ for particular DEO posts.

• Pay Scale:

  The salary under SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 depends on the post:

  • LDC/JSA: Pay Level-2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200
  • DEO: Pay Level-4 – ₹25,500 to ₹81,100
  • DEO Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-5 – ₹29,200 to ₹92,300
  • Apart from basic pay, selected employees may receive applicable allowances according to Government rules.
