Forest of Uttarakhand

1. Uttarakhand में Forest estate का अतुल भंडार है Latest Data के अनुसार UTTARAKHAND में 34,650 sq km में Forests का विस्तार है


2. Uttarakhand में 600-1200 Meter height वाले क्षेत्रो में Forests का प्रतिशत 16.3 तथा 1200 से 1800 Meter height वाले क्षेत्रो में 22.3 प्रतिशत तथा 1800 से 3000 Meter height वाले क्षेत्रो में सर्वाधिक 22.3 प्रतिशत Forests है और 3000 Meter height वाले क्षेत्रो में केवल 7.5 प्रतिशत Forests क्षेत्र है|


3. According to the 14th Forest Report राज्य के कुल Area के 46.73 Percentage share पर वन है इसमें से 19.61 % भाग पर Very intense forest , 56.11% भाग पर Medium dense forest व 24.27% भाग पर Open forest है


4. Uttarakhand में Total forests के 49.63 % Reserve forest , 18.48 % Protected forest तथा 2.93 % Unclassified forests के अंतर्गत आते है|


5. Uttarakhand में सर्वाधिक Forest क्षेत्रफल Pauri Garhwal district में तथा सबसे कम वें क्षेत्रफल Udham Singh Nagar में है|


6. Uttarakhand में सबसे अधिक सघन वन Nainital में , सबसे अधिक मध्यम सघन वन Pauri तथा सर्वाधिक खुले वन Pauri district में है|


7. Uttarakhand में कुल वनों का 59.70% Garhwal Circle में तथा 40.30 % Kumaon Circle में है|


8. Uttarakhand में नदी Basino के total area में वनों के क्षेत्रफल की दृष्टि से सर्वाधिक वन Tons Basinमें है


9. Uttarakhand में कुल वन क्षेत्रफल का 70.46 % Forest Department , 13.76 % Department of Revenue, 15.32 Percentage of Forests Panchayat तथा .46 % Private forest है

Types of forests found in Uttarakhand

1.उपोष्ण कटिबन्धीय वन

ये वन 750 से 1200 Meter height पर पाये जाते है साल इन वनों का Major tree है इसमें UTTARAKHAND का Sub-Himalayan region आता है

2.उष्ण कटिबन्धीय शुष्क वन

ये वन 1500 Meter height से Less वाले ऐसे area में पाये जाते है जहा Low rainfall होती है , इन वनों की Main tree  Jamun, Guular, Dhaka आदि है

3.उष्ण कटिबन्धीय आद्र पतझड़ वन

ये वन  Shivalik regions  तथा Doon Areas  में पाये जाते है इन्हें Monsoon forest  भी कहते है इन वनों की Main tree species teak, Mulberry, sal , bamboo आदि है

4. कोणधारी वन

ये वन 900-1800 Meter height  पर पाये जाते है , चीड़ इनका Main tree है

5. पर्वतीय शीतोष्ण वन

ये वन 1800-2700 Meter height  पर पाये जाते है Pine, cedar, spruce, fur आदि इनके  Main tree  है

6. उप एल्पाइन तथा एल्पाइन वन

ये वन 2700 Meter  से अधिक height पर मिलते है Burrish, pine, fur, fir इनकी Main species है

7. घास के मैदान (बुग्याल )

मध्य हिमालय में 3800 से 4200 Meter की height पर घास के मैदान पाये जाते है इन्हें Bugyal कहा जाता है
